Florida RB commits to Midwest school

Though he has not completely ruled out some additional official visits, West Palm Beach (Fla.) Palm Beach Lakes running back Glenis Thompson felt good enough after one trip to make a commitment.
"I just got home a few minutes ago," Thompson said very late on Sunday night. "I was up at Western Michigan.

"It was real nice. I fell in love with Michigan. I liked the whole area. That's why I committed.
"The coaches are nice. The players are good guys. So I made a verbal."
When asked if he would visit any other schools, Thompson said, "At the time I don't have any other visits scheduled.
"Colorado State, Florida Atlantic University, Notre Dame, and Ohio State are still recruiting me. FAU and Colorado State have offered (a scholarship). Notre Dame I think is on the edge of offering."
The 5-foot-8 and 203 pound Thompson played fullback and linebacker during his senior season. He rushed for 347 yards and five touchdowns while also making 120 tackles.
"I'm being recruited as a running back," Thompson said.
