Bruce Hall has added two teams to a growing list of
scholarship offers.
"Southern Miss and Ole Miss were the last two to
offer," said Hall, a member of the Rivals.com
Florida
Top 100 team who previously had offers from Kentucky, Wake
Forest, South Florida, Navy and Troy State. "I'm going to be looking real
hard at Ole Miss. That could be a pretty good situation for me."
Asked to elaborate, he said: "With Ole Miss, I'd
have a chance to go there and study under (Eli) Manning for a year, then
have a chance to start for a real good team in the SEC. It doesn't get any
better than that. Plus, it's relatively close to home, so my parents would
like that.
"With Southern Miss, they've got a good program,
too, but they've got three young quarterbacks competing for playing time
already. I'm the type of player who likes to compete and earn my job, but
I'm not sure that's the best situation for me."
Hall (6-0, 185, 4.6) has yet to schedule any
official visits, but noted that Ole Miss and South Florida are probable
destinations. Central Florida and Northwestern are also in the mix, although
they have not offered to date.
"I don't have a favorite right now, but I'm starting
to learn more about these teams and the schools in general," he said.
Hall has led Milton to a 9-2 record and the second
round of the Florida Class 3A playoffs by passing for 1,886 yards and 20
touchdowns and rushing for 1,050 yards and 14 scores.
