Florida QB making two camp visits

A new scholarship offer and some summer camp plans have developed for Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln quarterback Joe Bauserman.
Bauserman (6-2, 225, 4.7) has an offer from Clemson to go along with Virginia, Louisville, South Florida and Central Florida. He also received a call from Tennessee this spring.

“I’ve been so busy, I haven’t had a chance to talk to a lot of people, so I’m kind of keeping everything open right now,” he said. “I don’t have any favorites right now. I like Florida State, but I don’t think they’re going to be able to offer, so I’m just trying to learn about some of these other schools in the South and the East. I’d like to stay in this area.”
Bauserman is also a top baseball prospect, featuring a fastball in the mid- to low-90s. He skipped spring football to concentrate on the diamond. His status for next June’s professional baseball draft also has left some question marks surrounding his football future, but he’s moving forward with an eye on both sports.
“I’m going to camp at UVA (Virginia) and Ohio State,” he said. “Those are the ones that worked out with my schedule.”
Bauserman is originally from Strasburg, Va. He moved to Tallahassee prior to his junior year in hopes of getting more exposure in football and baseball. As a junior, he passed for 3,004 yards and 26 touchdowns in helping lead Lincoln to a 12-1-1 record and the state semifinals.
Academically, Bauserman maintains a 3.5 GPA and has scored a 930 on his SAT. Although that would project him as a full-qualifier, he plans to take the test again in hopes of receiving a higher school.
