Florida QB makes the call

There was some speculation that Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson quarterback Herb Bynes would make an official visit this weekend. However he stayed home and took the SAT instead, having made the call on his college.
"I made a verbal commitment to Hampton," Bynes said. "I like their offense. It's like the offense Texas ran for Vince Young."

Bynes made an official visit to Hampton the weekend of Jan. 20.
At one point he had consider January visits to Bowling Green, Wisconsin, and Louisville, but Bynes did not take trips to any of those schools.
"I haven't heard from Bowling Green recently," Bynes said. "Wisconsin was at my all-star practice for the Dade County-Broward County game. I talked to them there, but I haven't heard from them since then.
"I didn't visit Louisville this weekend, I took my test."
The 6-foot-3 and 210-pound Bynes passed for 1385 yards and six touchdowns during his senior season. He also rushed for 400 yards in leading Boyd Anderson to a 7-4 record.
