Florida QB battles back from injury

Technology seems to be saving quarterback's careers at an early age these last few years. Last year it was Brodie Croyle that went down with a major knee injury.
And in a somewhat similar story Jamie Burke tore ligaments in his knee the first game of his junior year. However, it has not stopped the 6-foot-3 215-pounder from camping this summer and being back at 100 percent.

"I have been to camps at Florida, Pitt, Boston College and also attended the Bowden Academy." Burke said. "I think the Bowden academy helped the most we worked a lot on drops and different technical things that I will need to know."
While this accident happened less than a year ago Burke is already running a 5.0-second time in the 40-yard dash.
Teams are still a bit hesitant, though.
"Yeah I don't have any offers as of yet, most of the coaches are telling me they just want to see that I'm alright and see me play live a little bit," he said.
“I am just excited that after missing my whole junior year that I'm still being recruited and still getting to be a part of this whole process."
Some of the schools that he is waiting for offers from are Florida,
Pittsburgh, Miami, Auburn and Marshall. He is already getting to know some of the coaches.
"At Florida, I like coach Teevens,” he said.
“We got along well, and I got to talk to him a lot about some different things. I also enjoyed the little bit of time I got to spend with Coach Spurrier. I have enjoyed talking to Coach Harris from Pittsburgh, too. He is a really nice guy.”
Burke currently has a 3.0 grade-point average with an 840 on his SAT. He says he plans to take the test again.
