Florida Pass Rusher Remains Open

Defensive end Ray McDonald is rising on the lists of many recruiters for good reason. McDonald already has 19 sacks this season through eight games and will likely finish with one of the best single-season sack totals in Florida history. It’s amazing that more teams haven’t offered the 6-foot-4, 245-pounder from Belle Glades (Fla.) Glades Central.

“I have offers from Virginia Tech, Kansas State, Boston College, Purdue and Rutgers,” he said. “I also got offered by Florida just last week and Georgia, Georgia Tech and NC State are also recruiting me hard.”

McDonald will take an official visit to Virginia Tech on December 14th and will be taking a trip to Florida and likely Kansas State and Purdue.

“I’m open right now, but I want to play for a good defensive team.”
