Florida OL reschedules UNC visit

Tallahassee (Fla.) North Florida Christian offensive lineman Paul Walsh was scheduled to make an official visit to North Carolina this weekend, but did not get to make the trip.
“I had a scheduling conflict, so I talked to them about setting up a new date,” he said. “I’m going to go there on Jan. 23 now. I’m still very interested in them.”

Walsh (6-6, 288, 5.2) has North Carolina and Central Florida (Jan. 9) on the calendar thus far. He’s also got offers from N.C. State, Iowa State and East Carolina that he’s mulling over. Florida and Florida State have shown interest, and he’s just recently started drawing attention from another major program.
“Tennessee is starting to come on pretty strong,” he said. “They came to school to see me a couple of weeks ago. I got to say hello to coach Washington, and he’s stayed in touch with me since then. If they offer, I’ll probably take a visit there. I like their program.”
Walsh said he has no favorite at this point.
His NFC team is 5-4 and heading into the state playoffs this week. He has graded out at 80 percent or better in each game and has recorded more than 100 “flapjack” blocks.
