Florida OL pushes Canes to co-leader

It’s homecoming week for Miami Edison four-star offensive lineman Jacky Claude and the plan for the week is to get not just one but two dates for the big dance.
“I was on the other line with one of the girls when you clicked in,” Claude said. “When you’re an offensive lineman you can have more than one date for the dance.”

But first things first, Claude said he and his teammates are hoping to come away with a big homecoming victory Friday night over Miami Jackson. Edison beat Homestead 13-0 last week.
“It should have been 28-0 but we had a few receivers drop the ball,” Claude, who is 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, said. “I didn’t yell at them, but tried my best to boost their confidence.”
Claude said on the recruiting front he’s had a subtle shift in favorites. After listing Florida State and Ohio State as his favorites two weeks ago, he’s now moved OSU and Miami into his top spot.
“It’s a dead-even heat between Miami and Ohio State,” Claude said. “I was at Ohio State a few weeks back and I’m going to Ohio State on December 5. I probably won’t take a visit to Miami since it’s so close.”
Claude said one of the reasons why he moved Miami up with Ohio State was because of the Canes’ big victory over FSU last weekend.
“Miami came to play,” Claude said. “I think if the weather was different it might have been a better game. I was hoping to make it up there for that, but I couldn’t.”
Claude has lined up one more official visit. He’s scheduled to visit N.C. State on December 12. He’s also lined up one up with Auburn for January 16. LSU and Tennessee are also somewhat still in the mix, he said.
