Florida OL names a top five

Lake Worth (Fla.) offensive guard prospect Joe Looney, one of the better offensive line prospects in South Florida in the Class of 2008, currently has five schools at the top of his list, including four from the Big East Conference.
"My top five right now is Louisville, Rutgers, South Florida, Wake Forest and West Virginia (no order)," Looney said.
A family connection has Looney interested in the Cardinals.
"My dad (James Looney) played at Louisville," he said. "Plus, I've got a lot of family in that area."
There are several things that stand out about the Scarlet Knights.
"The coaching staff there is great," Looney said. "They have great facilities and great players. Their program is up and coming."
The 6-foot-4, 319-pounder recently was offered by the Bulls and noted the proximity of the Tampa campus to his home in Palm Beach County, Fla.
"It's close to home and there are good coaches there also," he said.
The Demon Deacons also are squarely in the mix.
"They just won the ACC Championship," Looney said. "I like the style of play there, too, with all of the running that they do on offense."
West Virginia also is a team to keep an eye on.
"I really like the offensive line coach and the quarterback coach that is recruiting me," he said. "I want to go see the campus and check out the facilities up there soon."
Pittsburgh, Alabama, South Carolina and Minnesota also are programs that Looney has interest in.
This summer, Looney plans to take in several prospect camps and make a handful of unofficial visits.
"I plan to go to USF, Auburn, UCF, Florida State and Wake Forest," he said.
Looney also has a timetable for making a final decision.
"I am going to decide in August or September," he said.
Looney is rated as a mid (5.6) three star prospect and the No. 30 offensive guard prospect nationally by
