Florida OL makes final visit

Now comes the hard part.
Palmetto (Fla.) offensive lineman Kane Hannaford has wrapped up his official visits, but making a decision may still be a while away.

“I went to South Florida this weekend,” he said. “Everything went well there. It didn’t make my decision any easier. I’m still trying to figure things out.
“I liked their coaches and staff, especially their O-Line coach, coach Frye. The players were cool. I had a good time hanging out with my co-hosts. One of them was their center, Alex (Herron), and the other one was a guard. They just called him ‘Beef.’ I’m not sure what his real name was.”
Hannaford (6-6, 335, 5.4) says he’s narrowed his decision to USF, N.C. State and Kentucky. He has visited all three.
“South Florida is only 45 minutes away. It’s a good program that’s coming up and getting ready to compete in the Big East,” he said. “N.C. State has a good, established coach in coach Amato. They’re really rolling right now, and they play in the ACC. Kentucky needs some depth, so there’s a good chance of me playing next year if I went there. Plus, it’s in the SEC.”
Hannaford said he didn’t have a timetable for his decision.
