Florida OL likes Pack, Tigers, Noles

Miami (Fla.) South Miami Senior offensive tackle Simon Codrington had a good time on his first college official visit, a trip to North Carolina State this past weekend. However, he will be taking his time in making a decision on his college future.
“It was very good,” said the 6-foot-7, 270-pound prospect. “I got see a lot of the campus and the city (Raleigh). The coaches are very good there. I really like (assistant) Doc Holliday. I got to hang out with the players and they were good to.”

The three-star lineman is putting together a list of the schools.
“I would say NC State, Florida State and Auburn are out front in no order, but West Virginia and Florida are not far behind.”
Codrington will be heading to Auburn this weekend (Dec. 17) and will then visit Florida State (Jan. 7), Florida (Jan. 14) and West Virginia (Jan. 21).
“I’ll probably make a decision a few days after my visit to West Virginia,” Codrington said. “I want to take all the visits and see what the schools are like. I’m just looking for a place I will feel comfortable.”
North Carolina State will be back visiting Codrington, who is ranked as the No. 43 offensive tackle in the country, this week in home. Other visits may follow, but he is also busy with the South Miami Senior basketball season.
“We’re 3-0 and 5-0 counting the preseason, so we are having a good season,” Codrington said. “I like basketball, because it helps me build up my quickness for football.”
