Florida, Missouri rankings updated
The Sunshine State is always home to some of the nation’s best talent and the Class of 2003 is no exception.
With five players that are ranked as five star players, Florida often goes unmatched nationally.

But one state that does get overlooked when it comes to talent is Missouri.
Both states are the two most recent state rankings to be updated by Rivals100.com.
In the updated Florida Top 100 Tallahassee North Florida Christian standout linebacker Ernie Sims remained on top of the list, ahead of receiver Andre Caldwell, defensive back Dee Webb, defensive end Joe Cohen and receiver Antonio Cromartie.
But there was some shake up throughout the list from the previous release.
Making a nice move up the rankings was defensive tackle Marcus Thomas. Rivals100 had a chance to personally evaluate him in person this season and he was much more impressive than originally thought. Thomas, who is 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds, is a Florida State commitment. He is now ranked as the state’s No. 11 player.
Two Miami commitments moved up the list after impressive senior seasons. Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna linebacker Glenn Cook moved up to the No. 38 spot and Royal Palm Beach defensive tackle Dave Howell moved up to No. 40.
Daytona Beach Seabreeze standout defensive back Kenny Scott also skyrocketed up the rankings to the No. 6 spot in the state.
In the big picture, both Florida and Miami have commitments from four players in the top 100. But only three players in the top 25 have made up their mind and many battles between the Big Three of Florida, Florida State and Miami have yet to be decided.
The Missouri Top 25 did see some shake up in the middle and the bottom of the rankings, compared to the last release.
Eurkea standout defensive back Darnell Terrell remained the state’s top player and he proved that he is an elite prospect by leading his team to the Missouri Class 4A state championship game.
After earning one of the top honors in the Kansas City metro area, Blue Springs linebacker Bruce Ringwood moved up to the No. 18 spot on the list. Ringwood committed earlier this week to the Kansas Jayhawks.
Overall in the state, you have to be impressed with the job that Gary Pinkel and the Missouri Tigers have done. Out of the top 15 players, they have only allowed three players to get away at this point.
