Florida linebacker has new top five
Miami Carol City inside linebacker Vernon Wilder has had a great season. So far his team is off to a perfect 3-0 and he’s racked up around 30 tackles. Have things been as successful off the field in the recruiting front?
Wilder, who is 6-foot and 243 pounds, said his new top five consists of Kansas State, Miami, Nebraska, Ohio State and Maryland. However, he’s not gotten September calls from the Canes, Huskers, Buckeyes or Terps. He has gotten calls from K-State, Wake Forest, Colorado, Colorado State and Duke.

“I just picked up a new offer from Colorado State the other day,” he said. “That gives me offers from Colorado State, Penn State, Michigan State and Rutgers.”
However, it should be noted that PSU, MSU and Rutgers have yet to be in contact with the three-star linebacker.
“I’m going to work on setting up my official visits in a few weeks, but I’m not going to rush into a decision,” Wilder said. “I want to take all of my visits.”
