Florida LB still waiting to take the field

Boynton Beach, Fla. linebacker Baxter Grisby seems to be another in a long line of an unfortunate trend of prospects in the Sunshine State. He has yet to take the field to play his first game due to a horrendous hurricane season that is frighteningly only half over.
“I have an offer from Pittsburgh and they must think a lot of me because they don’t have senior film of me,” Grisby said. “Nobody does. Schools like Miami, Bowling Green, West Virginia and Minnesota have all been recruiting me really hard, but they just want to see some senior film before they decide to offer.”

He attended the NIKE camp in Miami in April where he measured in at 6-foot-1, 216 pounds and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.66 seconds.
“My top schools right now are Pittsburgh, Bowling Green, West Virginia, Minnesota and Miami,” Grisby said. “I would have to put Pittsburgh at No. 1 at this point. They have offered and have really been recruiting me from the start. It is a place where I feel like I could go in and play early, not start, but play early.”
Grisby attended the Miami-Florida State game earlier this month, but has set plans for when he might attend his next game.
