Florida LB cooking up interest

South Florida is arguably the deepest talent pool in the country. There seems to never be a shortage of talented linebackers in the area and the class of 2006 is no exceptions. West Palm Beach (Fla.) Palm Beach Gardens outside linebacker Emmanuel Cook is one of the area's best this year.
"I am getting mail from Georgia, South Florida, Central Florida, Rutgers, Iowa, NC State, Ohio State and Navy right now," Cook said. "The schools that I am really wanting to hear from are Miami and Florida State."

Cook is a hard hitting 5-foot-11, 205-pound bruiser who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds, has a 4.3 second shuttle and a 28-inch vertical jump.
"Right now I am looking at Florida State, Miami, Georgia, NC State and Ohio State," Cook said. "I have some friends up at N.C. State like Dejuan Morgan and Willie Young."
Cook, who also plays fullback for his team, admits to growing up a fan of the Florida State Seminoles, but will look at the whole picture when choosing a school.
"I am looking for team chemistry where the players are a close knit group," Cook said. "I will also be looking at educational programs and coaches who work with their athletes. I would also like to play in nice weather."
