The Boston College Eagles need linebackers. They just got a super sleeper from Florida with serious speed.
"I committed today," said 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker Frantz Joseph, who runs a 4.6-second 40-yard dash. "I really liked my visit a lot and felt I wanted to get this process over with.
"I'm excited about BC, I can play in the ACC against the top teams in the nation and get an early start on things too. They need linebackers."
Joseph has 88 tackles in eight games for Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. with two sacks. He plays inside linebacker in high school but will play outside linebacker at BC.
"I had offers from Central Florida, Vanderbilt, Colorado State and UConn to name a few," he said. "Tennessee, Florida State, Florida and Wake Forest were also close to offering."
Joseph was hosted by Jason Lilly on his visit and hit it off with everyone.
"They were all really nice," he said. "It was a great visit. I like BC's combination of athletics and academics and they play a big-time schedule."
