Florida lands dynamic four-star all-purpose back Kahnen Daniels

Billy Napier and the Florida Gators have made some noise on the recruiting trail. Four-star all-purpose back Kahnen Daniels announced his pledge to the SEC program on Monday afternoon.

Daniels saw his stock explode following a breakout junior campaign in the Magnolia State. He racked in offers from SEC programs, including Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M. It was the Gators that beat the competition for the dynamic rusher.

"I felt like Florida was the best fit for me," Daniels told Rivals.com about his decision.

Daniels is a prospect that impacts the game in multiple ways. Playing in a run-heavy offense for powerhouse West Point, Daniels has proven what he can do on the ground on Friday nights. He helped lead the Green Wave to an 11-3 record last fall while operating one of the best offenses in the state.

The four-star primarily took snaps behind center, where he touched the ball on nearly every single play. His vision in the open field and ability to outrun angles stands out on film. Additionally, he also features some upside as a receiver, which will likely be tapped into more on the next level

He feels like he will fit into the Gators' offense well once he gets to Gainesville. The staff won him over, and he is comfortable with the vision that they laid out for him during his visit this offseason.

"I love what they do on offense," said Daniels. "And I love how the people are there."

RIVALS REACTS

Kahnen Daniels is one of the biggest risers in a loaded 2024 class inside the state of Mississippi. His ability to score from nearly anywhere on the football field quickly made him a coveted prospect in the Southeast region.

His dynamic game paired with four-star quarterback DJ Lagway gives Napier and the Gators a very intriguing one-two punch in the backfield moving forward. The best football is still ahead for both, which has to have Florida eager to get them on campus.

For Napier, this was a key recruiting win. His staff was able to go into Mississippi and win out for a recruit that much of the conference was in pursuit of. Daniels provides Florida with a bit of a statement win on the trail.

Rivals ranks Kahnen Daniels as the No. 8 all-purpose back in the 2024 cycle and the No. 15 recruit in Mississippi. He is a four-star prospect and has a real opportunity to continue rising in the rankings moving forward.
