Florida fullback looking north

Neptune Beach (Fla.) Fletcher fullback Jacob Kraut has a nice accolade attached to his name: Top fullback in the nation.
In this day and age not every school utilizes a fullback so that has probably limited the interest and offers, but some schools still see a fit for Kraut and players like him.

The 5-foot-11 bruiser visited Florida International on Monday and he appreciates the interest but admits he is looking for something else.
"It was pretty nice [at FIU] and a pretty nice campus. It's a nice place. I like the coaching staff there but I'm trying to get to a bigger school to be honest," he said.
It looks like he will have his chance. He visits Rutgers on June 19th and the Scarlet Knights have already offered.
"I really like Rutgers," he said. "I've talked to Coach Prince almost every day. He's their offensive coordinator and I really like him a lot. We'll see where it goes. They want me for either fullback or H-Back.
"He said I'll be running the ball a few times a game and they're going to use me for a lot of passing out of the backfield and iso and counter plays. Stuff like that."
Maryland has also offered but Kraut has not had much contact with the Terrapins lately. They started showing interest when he was only a sophomore. Now the Class of 2014 prospect is thinking about a trip to College Park, but he admits he might be committed by the time he leaves Rutgers later this month.
"It's a possibility," he said, acknowledging that a pledge to the Scarlet Knights may be imminent.
