Florida evaluating OL Hooks

Zach Hooks was recently down in Gainesville for a camp at the University of Florida.
The 6-foot-3, 284-pound offensive tackle from Aliquippa, Pa., has an offer from Pitt but said he has not been in contact with the Panthers much recently. Pitt is obviously a school that's still on his radar, but after his trip to Florida the Gators are his clear favorite.

"I would say Florida is definitely (the favorite)," Hooks said. "I really liked it down there.
"Last weekend I was down in Florida for their camp. I was there on Saturday and Sunday. I thought I did real well. I talked to the offensive line coach and Urban Meyer. Teryl Austin is recruiting me. They said they really like me and they want to see my first game from my senior season."
It was Hooks' first trip to Florida and only time will tell whether the Gators plan on offering him a scholarship. In the meantime he will be checking out other schools.
"On Sunday I'm going to be at West Virginia. I think it's a senior camp," he said. "I don't have any more plans after that."
Hooks said if Florida offers him a scholarship there is a good chance he will go ahead and commit.
