Florida DT waiting on first offer

Chipley (Fla.) defensive tackle Jermi Johnson still is waiting on his first scholarship offer, but is getting plenty of attention from a number of programs, including several from the Southeastern Conference.
"I don't have an offer yet," he said. "I'm not sure how long its going to take, but I don't have any offers just yet. A lot of schools seem interested. Ole Miss, Florida Atlantic, UAB, Alabama, Alabama State, LSU, and some other smaller ones.

"I think its just a matter of time before a lot of them offer."
Two schools are recruiting the 6-foot-1, 354-pounder the hardest and which school he currently favors.
"Right now, the ones most interested in me are Ole miss and Alabama State," he said. "I'd say that Ole Miss is my favorite right now. I like their defense, its pretty close to home, I like the coach, he seems like an honest coach."
Johnson hasn't taken any unofficial visits this summer and says he plans to take some official visits during the bye week of his football season. He will camp at Alabama and Troy later this summer.
