Florida DT picks up big new offer

In addition to crushing opposing ball-carriers, one
of the Sunshine State's fastest rising prospects also has some hidden

talents.
When asked if anything new had developed in his
recruitment, Sarasota High School defensive tackle
Donnell Livingston deadpanned, "You mean besides getting an
offer from Florida State? Nah, not much."
The Seminoles officially offered Livingston (6-2,
290, 5.0) this past week, which he later admitted was quite a thrill.
"I was real happy about that," he said. "They're at
the top of my list now, no doubt about it. I went to my first game ever at
Tallahassee last week and had a great time. I got goosebumps when I walked
in the stadium. It was an awesome experience.
"I'm going to probably go on all my visits before I
decide anything, but it will be hard for someone to top Florida State. I
have to see something better than I saw there, meet better people than I met
there. They were great."
Livingston's recruitment has caught fire in recent
weeks as he's drawn offers from North Carolina, Maryland and now the
Seminoles. He noted that Nebraska, Oklahoma and Ole Miss had also been
calling regularly, and each indicated they would likely be offering soon.
"I talked to Oklahoma last night," he said. "They
said they will probably be offering real soon, but I've got all my official
visits set up. I suppose anything is possible, though, so I'll keep
listening to what they have to say."
Livingston will visit North Carolina and Nebraska in
December, on the 6th and 13th, respectively. As the new year rolls around,
he'll visit Maryland (1-3), Ole Miss (1-10) and Florida State (1-17).
Through eight games this season, Livingston has
recorded 48 tackles and nine sacks. Despite commanding more attention from
opponents, he's almost already eclipsed his numbers (56 tackles, 12 sacks)
as a junior.
