Florida DT heads to Big Ten

Wisconsin coach Dave Doeren has definitely made an impact in the South Florida landing two high quality prospects for the Badgers. Now it's time to add another star to the Badgers' commitment list thanks to the effort of Doeren.
Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Dwyer defensive tackle Jasper Grimes committed to Wisconsin this weekend after taking an official visit to Madison, Wis.

The 6-foot-2, 280-pounder was also recruited by and had offers from Minnesota, FAU, Arkansas State, Southern Miss and Middle Tennessee State. He just also reached his qualifying scores to be academically qualified.
"I committed this morning to Wisconsin," Grimes said.
"I had a lot of fun on the visit. I'm going to have great teammates and excellent coaches at Wisconsin. I have a chance to have a great career at Wisconsin and you can't get a better education."
Grimes earned second-team all-state honors and was named as one of the Elite 11 players by Sun-Sentinel as a senior. He had 45 tackles, 22 tackles for a loss, 11 sacks and four fumble recoveries this season.
Grimes said he had another reason why he's heading to Wisconsin.
"I look good in red," he said. "I look really good."
