Florida DE will reschedule Miami visit

Tranell Morant, a 6-foot-5 and 260 pound pass-rushing specialist from Miami (Fla.) Braddock, was supposed to visit Miami but he rescheduled it due to a death in the Hurricane family.
“The Miami coaches told me that I could still come on my visit last week but that the players wouldn’t be around due to the death of Vince Wilfork’s mother,” Morant said. “I will reschedule my visit on January 10th.”

Morant, who is academically qualified, is expected to make a decision shortly after his visit to Miami. He will choose between Miami or Florida.
Does one program have an advantage over the other?
“Both Florida and Miami are real tight because of the depth chart,” he said. “Miami will lose four defensive ends and Florida will lose some also.”
Last week the Miami native visited Florida officially and he really enjoyed himself.
“I know a lot of people up at Florida and I really love their coaching staff,” Morant said. “I felt like it was home. I can’t say much about Miami now because I haven’t visited there yet.”
Morant didn’t grow up following college football because he was more focused on basketball at the time.
