Crescent City, Fla. defensive end Toshmon Stevens has numerous offers. The 6-foot-5, 198-pounder is starting to focus on a few favorites in his list.
"I'd say right now Florida State, Florida, Clemson, USF and Mississippi State are my favorites even though some of them haven't offered," he said. "I really like their coaching staff, that's what got me interested in them."
In the last few weeks plenty of schools have checked out the Sunshine State prospect.
"A lot of coaches have been here," he said. "West Virginia, Florida, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Purdue, Colorado, UCF, USF and Maryland," he said. "Of those, I was impressed with the coaches from NC State and Mississippi State. I really like their personalities from the very brief interaction I had. I just got a vibe from them."
Stevens plans to camp at two schools this summer.
"Right now I know I'm going to Florida on June 9th and Florida State on July 11th through the 14th. I'm also going to a St. Leo showcase."
With a variety of schools interested, what is the Florida prospect looking for in a college?
"I just want a good environment where I can play football and get an education," he said. "I'm actually looking at deciding by the middle of this summer."
