When it comes to one of the top power rushers in the state of Florida, you have to include the name of Belle Glade (Fla.) Glades Central strongside defensive end Ray McDonald.
The 6-foot-4, 245-pounder has already racked up 72 tackles and 15 sacks, but that still doesn't make him happy.
"I'm never satisfied," McDonald said. "I'm so much better than I was at this point last year. I only had 75 tackles all of last year. I'm bigger, stronger and faster."
And the college coaches are noticing. McDonald has Big East offers from Boston College, Rutgers and several other programs, but now he has his sites set on a mixture of Big East, Big 12 and SEC powers.
"I'm visiting Virginia Tech on Dec. 14," McDonald said. "I'm also getting serious interest from Tennessee, Florida, Georgia Tech and Kansas State. Virginia Tech and K-State have offered me."
McDonald said those are his top five teams at this point and that would be the schools he would visit at this point.
"I'm still pretty open and will take my visits," McDonald said.
