IN HIS OWN WORDS: "Over spring break, I want to visit Alabama and Georgia," said Jay. "I have not visited either of those schools yet, but I like both of them, so I want to see what it is like there. I want to see if I feel welcome, if I feel at home and if the environment fits me.

"Alabama has always been a great school with great players. They not only coach their players up, but they work hard to make their players great men. The coaches work hard to make their players the best they can be on and off the field and I like that.

"How they win and how they produce top defensive backs is big for Alabama as well.

"With Georgia, I like their style of play. They play fast, they play hard and I like their defense. I talk to coach [Mel] Tucker from Georgia and he is a great coach.

"Both schools like me at cornerback and they like my size."

RIVALS REACTION: Madison County has sent a lot of their top guys over the years to Florida State and the Seminoles are the early favorite for Jay, but he plans to take his time and explore his options. He is very familiar with Tallahassee and the FSU program, so he wants to venture out and see other places. Alabama and Georgia are two schools he really likes. It will be about how he feels when steps foot on their campus. All schools like Jay's size and he has picked off 17 passes in the last two seasons, so his ball skills are appealing too. He does not plan to make an early decision.
