Florida DB leaves little doubt

If there was little doubt about where Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland two-star defensive back Kelin Johnson was going to end up, it was cleared up as soon as he answered the phone.
“I’m a Bulldog,” Johnson said. “I was up there at Georgia this weekend, and before I left I met with coach Richt and told him that I was committing. This is like a dream come true for me.”

Especially since it looked like Johnson might end up falling through the cracks. After moving to Mainland during his senior season, many schools didn’t know where he was at and couldn’t find his senior footage.
Georgia found it about two weeks ago, Johnson said, and then started to recruit him.
“Now I’m going to get to play SEC football,” Johnson, who also visited Southern Miss and Troy State, said. “Georgia is just where I felt like I belonged. They’re high class of guys coming out of there. I think I could have a good chance to play early, too.”
