Florida DB hoping to get past semi-finals

Miami (Fla.) Killian cornerback Antwane Cox is a prospect you haven’t heard much about up to this point in the recruiting process, but he is one of the fastest rising prospects in South Florida right now.
“I have offers from Western Michigan, Rutgers and South Florida right now,” Cox said. “I don’t have any official visits set up at this point. I am waiting until my season is over. We get Carol City in the semi-finals this week, a rematch of the semi’s last year.”

The 5-foot-11, 160-pound Cox runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4.3 seconds, has a 210-pound bench press and 315-pound squat.
“Right now my top five would Iowa, South Florida, Georgia, NC State and Florida State,” Cox said. “Iowa and Michigan State have really been calling me a lot lately. I would say all of my top five are pretty equal.
So far this season Cox has collected four interceptions, returned a punt for a touchdown and recovered a fumble and ran it back for a touchdown. He is unsure on the number of tackles he has.
“I’m looking for a place where I can go in and play early,” Cox said. “I want to have a good coaching staff that I can relate to and wherever I go I want to make sure that I get a good education.”
