Florida DB has solid list of offers

It’s no secret that the state of Florida is the best place in the country to find outstanding wide receivers and this year is no exception. One prospect that has flown under the recruiting radar somewhat this year is Green Cove Springs (Fla.) Clay wide out Nolan Carroll, who has already picked up several impressive offers.
“So far I have offers from Louisville, Connecticut, Central Florida, Syracuse and Auburn,” Carroll said. “I am also hearing a lot from Maryland and Florida. They have talked about offering, but they said that they just want to see more of me before they do.”

Carroll burst onto the scene at the Atlanta NIKE camp where he checked in a 6-foot-0, 181 pounds and ran a 4.48 second 40-yard dash and a 4.47 second shuttle. He also has a 30-inch vertical jump.
“Right now my favorites are Miami, Mississippi State, Central Florida, North Carolina and Southern Miss,” Carroll said. “I just got back from camp at Miami and they said that they really liked me, but wanted to see my film. I just sent them and Mississippi State my tape so hopefully I will start hearing more from both of them.”
As a junior Carroll caught 17 passes for 11 touchdowns, which is a phenomenal number considering the limited amount that his high school team throws the ball.
“I will be looking at academics and to see if they have a sports medicine program,” Carroll said. “I have always wanted to go into sports medicine so that is a program that they must have. I will just take a look at the overall program of a school.”
In addition to the Miami camp and the NIKE camp he attended the Southeast combine and a camp at Central Florida. He will attend passing league camps at Valdosta and South Florida.
