LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- The only official visit date set in stone for Florida commit Daquon Green is the one you’d expect. The four-star wide receiver is set to tour Gainesville on Jan. 20. From there, however, things are less certain.

Green has other visits in mind. Still, he’s short on dates.

“I’m going to visit Ole Miss, Tennessee, North Carolina and Michigan,” Green said. “This is the only opportunity I’ll get to go out and do that, so I’m gonna take that chance.”

The group of backup suitors is in place, sure, but Green says he’s more excited for some trips than he is for others. Which campus tours is Green anticipating most? The answer, it seems, is twofold.

Whether or not Green’s visit plans actually takes place so close to Signing Day is yet to be seen. In his mind, however, the excitement is real.

“I’m trying to go back up to North Carolina for sure,” Green said when asked which potential visits intrigue him most. That one and one to Tennessee. I’ve never been there but I heard how beautiful the campus is.”

A four-star receiver, Green played his high school career at Tampa Bay (Fla.) Tech)

IN HIS WORDS: “Florida is telling me they’re really excited to have me out there and come in and make plays. The way they do rotations, they move their wide receivers around. They’ll have me playing the slot and outside.”

RIVALS REACTION: Green will likely stick to Florida. It’s unclear how heavily the other schools he’s planning to visit are recruiting him currently, but North Carolina is a real option for Green. Should UNC make a play during an official visit, things could get interesting. Still, UF remains the overwhelmingly heavy favorite.
