One of the Sunshine State's rising offensive line prospects is working on
rounding out his list of official visits.
Three-star Hialeah Miami Lakes standout
Alvarez says he's got visits lined up for Boston College
(1/10), Colorado State (1/17) and Eastern Kentucky (1/24). The last two
spots are up for grabs between a handful of teams.
"I'm thinking about Maryland on Jan. 3," he said. "They tell me they need
a bunch of O-linemen in this class. They're losing about five or six, I
think, so that may be a good opportunity for me.
"Auburn is still involved. Coach (Eddie) Gran said he'll be coming back
to our house sometime in January once the dead period is over. I'm very
interested in them.
"The other team showing some interest of late is Iowa. They've invited me
to come watch them practice on the 26th (of December) for the Orange Bowl."
Alvarez, who said he doesn't currently have a favorite, is a member of the Rivals.com
Top 100 team and the No. 7 center in the nation.
