Florida Center Has Two Officials Set

A four-star center from the Sunshine State has more than 20 offers, and he’s looking at schools all across the country.
“I don’t necessarily have any favorite, but I like Virginia, Stanford, Florida, and Miami,” said Jordy Lipsey of Altamonte Springs (Fla.) Lake Brantley. “I have offers from all of my favorites, and other offers from schools all around the nation. I like Virginia and Stanford because they have great academics and football programs. The biggest factor in my decision right now is the education that each school offers.”

At 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds, Wilson has the perfect frame for a center prospect, and moves well, running the 40-yard dash in an impressive 4.9 seconds. He plays offense only, and is one of the top linemen in Florida.
“I’ve scheduled two official visits so far. I’m going to Virginia on Sept. 6, and I’m visiting Stanford on Oct. 11. I’m not sure where I would like to take my other three trips, but I would like to take all of them before I decide.”
Lipsey didn’t go to any camps this summer, but has taken unofficial visits to the Virginia, Stanford, Miami, Florida, Northwestern, and Vanderbilt. Each of the out-of-state schools he is looking at is considered to be one of the top academic institutions in the nation.
Lipsey feels good about his team at Lake Brantley this year, and more wins would translate into even more attention from college coaches.
“We went 8-3 last year and got eliminated in the first round of the state playoffs. I think we have a chance to be pretty good this year. Each player has to do their part, and that includes me. If I play up to my abilities and show leadership, then I’ll have done what I set out to do. I don’t want to think about when I’m going to decide yet. I’m just going to make sure that I’m picking the best school after taking everything into account.”
