Florida CB names a favorite

Treon Howard is a cornerback prospect from Fort Meade (Fla.) High School. Howard, 5-10 and 160 pounds, now has a leader after a great visit this past weekend.
"I had an official visit to FAU this past weekend and I didn't want to leave," Howard said. "It's a great place and they have offered. I like the campus and players and really felt at home. FAU would be a really great fit for me. I love the coaches and it seems like another home to me. They are my leader."

Another team high on Howard's radar is Eastern Michigan. He was offered earlier this month and took a visit to Eastern Michigan shortly after.
"I think they offered me on the (January) 8th and I visited them on the next day. Ron English is there and I think he's really good. He knows defensive backs and that's his specialty. They came by today, him and AC (Antonio Carter). It was a nice school and it was the first time I saw snow. I mean it was snowing so bad. I enjoyed it and they treated me well."
Another offer this month came from Georgia Southern. He may visit the Eagles this weekend.
"I have talked with coach (Chris) Hatcher and they have been recruiting me a while. I am supposed to visit them this weekend but I am not sure yet. I may visit Iowa State on the 30th but I still don't know for sure."
So what is Howard's timetable?
"I prefer to make all my visits and announce something on Signing Day. FAU is the team to beat."
