Florida back ready to roll

If Tampa Jefferson running back Rashaun Grant's final preseason scrimmage is any indication of things to come, he's in store for a monster season.
The standout all-purpose back that is ranked as a Rivals100 member rushed for 114 yards on 14 carries and scored two touchdowns.

"I only played in two quarters, too," he said with a chuckle. "This Friday it's for real."
Grant said as far as the recruiting front, he was away and missed calls early in the day from many teams on his list, including Auburn, Florida State, Oklahoma and a few others. However, he said things are pretty much the same in his recruitment.
"The only thing that's new is that I've added Georgia Tech to the list," Grant said.
Grant said he's officially looking at Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Florida, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Northwestern and Georgia Tech now.
He has offers from all but Miami and Florida. But that might change soon as Grant is heading to the big game next week in Gainesville.
"I'm going up to watch Miami and Florida get after it," he said. "I'm hoping to talk to the coaches and see where I stand with them."
