Florida ATH hoping to gain offers

Greenville (Fla.) Madison County athlete Brian Peacock has been somewhat overlooked this summer because all of the attention has been on Rivals 100 linebacker Eugene Hayes.
“I have not received any offers yet, but I am hearing a good bit from Auburn, West Virginia, Iowa State and South Florida,” Peacock said. “I think that South Florida is the one that is probably the closest to offering. They have all just told me that they want to see some more of me during my senior year.”

The 5-foot-10, 203-pound Peacock attended the NIKE camp in Atlanta. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.66 seconds, did 22 reps on the bench press, posted a 32-inch vertical jump and ran the shuttle in 4.6 seconds.
“Right now I would say my top schools are West Virginia, Auburn, Iowa State, South Florida and Clemson,” Peacock said. “I don’t really have a favorite or anything like that right now. Besides the NIKE camp the only camp I have been to this summer was the one at Florida.”
He has a 320-pound bench press max and a 555-pound squat max. He is a solid student who carries a 3.1 GPA.
“I am looking for a school that can offer me a good education and a chance to play early,” Peacock said. “I have had some schools talking to me about playing safety or rover and others are talking to me about outside linebacker. I prefer safety, but I would not mind playing outside linebacker.”
