The Latest: Class of 2017 three-star athlete Chauncy Smart spent the spring lighting up the camp circuit, flashing elite speed with intriguing playmaking ability. As his strong showings started to add up, so did the offers. Among the schools already on his list are Southern Miss, Western Kentucky, Troy and several others. While it looks like the Hilltoppers are the team to beat at the moment, Smart said an offer from nearby UCF could change his entire recruiting outlook. Rivals.com caught up with Smart to get the details.

In His Words: "Recruiting has been going pretty good. I've taken a few visits to Florida, UCF, USF and I have visits coming up to LSU and a few other schools. I don't have an offer yet from UCF but I think that would be the perfect fit I don't know what they're waiting on. A lot of schools want me to come visit but I've already been there. I haven't camped there yet, maybe that's what I need to do."

Rivals Reaction: There's no doubt that Smart is one of the most electric players in the state of Florida and his skill set would fit perfectly in the new offense head coach Scott Frost in bringing from Oregon. Of course, the Knights can only take so many players in the class and already have few athletes committed with similar skills to Smart. Assuming Smart can stay healthy and have a good start to his senior season, an offer from the Knights or one of several other programs could be on the way.
