KISSIMMEE, Fla. – While seniors across the state of Florida were making a last-minute case for recognition from college coaches seeking offers, at Osceola High School Taevion Swint was working them over building his own case for the future. The freshman was a highlight reel of coming attractions carrying the rock 85 times for 612 yards with a team-high 12 scores on the ground… now the offers are rolling in.

More than just a fast-on-fast tailback with great field vision, Swint made an impact for the Kowboys [sic] on passing downs pulling in 16 for 189 yards with two more scores. On special teams, the 2025 talent took six kicks back for 115 yards and seven punts for 209 tallying 15 total touchdowns.

Spring offers from West Virginia, Minnesota, Louisville, Michigan, and Ole Miss is helping draw more attention to Swint’s abilities with Texas A&M, among others, showing interest.

The early communication with Swint got him to Florida State, Minnesota, South Florida, and Florida this spring. The Seminoles made that all too important early impression on Swint.

Florida State, that was awesome,” Swint said. “That was the main one that I liked.”

While in Gainesville, Swint missed out on connecting with head coach Billy Napier.

“The Florida visit was alright,” Swint stated. “I didn’t get to meet the head coach because he was just getting there.”

The short trip to the Tampa Bay area with the Bulls was all positives for Swint.

“That was a good visit,” Swint said. “I had a long talk with coach (Cam) Aiken (RB). He was telling me how they run things there. They really love me over there too.”

Summer visits are being lined up for Swint. A possible trip to Morgantown to see West Virginia is in the works but there is a guaranteed stop in Tuscaloosa for an Alabama camp on the schedule. Swint spoke about camping with the Crimson Tide.

“It means a lot,” Swint stated. “In the seventh or eighth grade, I went there for a camp and won MVP on offense. They were liking me there, so I am going to go do it again.”
