Fla. WR favors five

Willie Haulstead is one of the top prospects from the Space Coast and he has the offers to prove it. Haulstead, from Titusville (Fla.) High School, is a big and physical receiver that excels at going to get the ball in the air. Haulstead, 6-3 and 200 pounds, caught 44 passes for 876 yards for 13 touchdowns last season as a junior. According to Haulstead teams like Auburn, Purdue, South Carolina, South Florida, Central Florida, Florida Atlantic and Florida International have all offered.
"Actually, I have 10 offers that I know of," Haulstead said. "Right now I would say my top five (no order) are LSU, Georgia, Florida, Miami and South Carolina. Only South Carolina has offered.

"LSU is a team that just won it all, the national championship. I really like how they use all their wide receivers. I mean they really spread the ball around and get everyone involved.
"Georgia does a nice job of that as well. They also have some great players like (Matthew) Stafford and (Knowshon) Moreno.
"Florida plays a lot of four and five wide receiver sets and I really like their offense. They seem to be recruiting me pretty hard.
"Miami was always my favorite team growing up as a kid. I also really like coach (Randy) Shannon.
"South Carolina has coach (Steve) Spurrier. You know he is going to get his receivers the ball. He's a very good coach."
Haulstead has only seen Florida at this point. He is hoping to catch some more schools in June and July.
"I think my first visit (unofficial) will be to Miami and then I am going to try and get to both LSU and Georgia. I am really looking at these schools and where I feel I can play the earliest. That's the most important thing to me."
