Fla. tackle favors three

Dan Koenig is a huge offensive line prospect from Cape Coral (Fla.) High School. Koenig, 6-6.5 and 255, plays tackle. He's good now but knows he has a very bright future.
"I have good footwork," Koenig said. "I am a good pass blocker and I have a good frame with long arms and a long body. I should be at 300 pounds easy in a few years.

At this time Koenig bench presses 280 pounds, squat 385, power clean 235. Right now Koenig has scholarship offers from Tennessee, Wake Forest, Central Florida, Marshall, Southern Miss, Duke and Vanderbilt.
"I would say that Oklahoma State, Tennessee and Wake Forest standout for me.
"Oklahoma State is awesome. Everything is so nice. It was the first time I have seen their new facilities. I like their offensive line coach (Joe Wickline). They have offered and are certainly in the mix.
"Tennessee is a school I like. I like the SEC a lot. They have such good competition. I have not seen their facilities but they look nice on internet. So does the stadium. The coaches are all pretty much NFL coaches. Their offensive line coach was in NFL. So were the Kiffins (Lane and Monte).
"Wake Forest is a small school. They have a good program right now. They are beating teams like FSU. The ACC is a pretty good conference. Wake Forest is also winning ACC championships."
Koenig has some ties to the Cowboys. He has two older brothers that have played there; Don (99-03) and David (03-07). In addition to seeing Oklahoma State he has also visited Southern Miss and Central Florida.
"I went to a junior day at UCF. It was a really nice place. I like their facilities and I like their coaches, especially their new offensive line coach.
"I went to Southern Miss. That's another nice program with good facilities. I like coach (Larry) Fedora. I like that spread offense."
Spring break is one the horizon for Koenig and he plans on visiting Tennessee, Wake Forest, Marshall and possibly Ohio State (if the Buckeyes offer).
