Fla. DB pursuing offers

Fruit Cove (Fla.) Bartram Trail defensive back Jolen Briggs has yet to land his first offer, but is receiving a fair share of college interest at this time.
"Right now at this point I talk to Troy and Jacksonville State quite a bit," Briggs said. "Troy, Jacksonville State, Ole Miss, South Alabama, and some others have all said they are going to keep an eye on me next season."

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound cornerback has had the most communication with Troy and Jacksonville State. He talked about what the staffs at each of those schools are telling him.
"Troy likes my highlight tape," Briggs said. "They want me to attend their camp so they can see me up-close and first-hand. That is about it, they just want to see me in person."
"Jacksonville State came out to practice and liked me," Briggs added. "They want me to visit and run through some drills at their camp."
At this stage of the process, Briggs hasn't taken any visits but is hoping to change that in the near future.
"I haven't taken any trips recently," Briggs said. "I am trying to go to Troy on July 22nd. I am also trying to see Jacksonville State. I am doing a 7-on-7 down in Bradenton this week as well."
Briggs is optimistic that he can earn an offer when he camps later this summer.
"I think if I camp at Troy and Jacksonville State that there is a high chance I will come back with an offer," Briggs said. "I have been preparing and if I do well, I think they will offer me."
As a junior, Briggs recorded 46 tackles, two sacks, an interception, five pass break-ups, and a pair of fumble recoveries.
