Three-star defensive back Shawn Boone is down to two schools and he is planning to announce sometime in January. Boone has eliminated Arkansas, Maryland, and Ole Miss from his list and he will decide between N.C. State and Penn State.

Why the Wolfpack and Nittany Lions? Boone replied, "I just feel comfortable with those two programs. I want to feel comfortable with where I plan to play at. I don't have a leader. Both schools are even."
Former Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Dwyer standout Jacoby Brissett is competing for the starting quarterback spot at N.C. State. Will that help the Wolfpack's chances? Boone responded, "Not really. Everything is equal. I have a good relationship with Coach (Richard) McNutt at N.C. State and Coach (Anthony) Midget over at Penn State."
Both schools stopped by his house recently for in-home visits. He was scheduled to visit the Rebels in January, but he will no longer follow through with those plans.
Last weekend, Boone notched three tackles in his team's 55-39 win over Niceville (Fla.) in the Class 7A state title game.
