FL tackle has the biggest body in 2007

Who is the biggest prospect coming out in the 2007 class? The answer: David Holmes out of Orlando (Fla.) Jones. At 6-foot-8, 406-pounds there is no question a guy his size is going to get noticed by college scouts.
"He's getting looks from all sorts of schools right now, but everyone is taking a wait and see approach with him to see exactly how he does in combines and camps this spring and how he plays his senior year," said Jones head coach Mike Cullison. "I definitely think he is a guy that has a chance to get scholarships and interest in him has already started to pick up. The thing that is the problem with him is that he is very green still.

"He only started playing football in ninth grade and he only started playing full games by the end of last year. This season we're counting on him to be huge for us."
Cullison claims that Holmes is more than just a big body.
"There's no question David is big and he takes up a doorway," he said. "He also has real good footwork and moves well because he played on the basketball team. The other thing you'll notice about him is that he doesn't look fat and like a blob. I just think he has to learn the concept of the game better and then he'll dominate."
One other prospect to keep an eye on in a couple years out of Jones is linebacker Willie Scott. The 2009 prospect is already 6-foot-2, 190-pounds.
"He is a freshman right now and still learning the game," Cullison said. "He is versatile as he used to play quarterback for us, but I moved him to linebacker because I think that is where he'll end up in college. He is a smart kid that works hard and is not afraid of contact. For a kid his age that is just a freshman it's pretty remarkable to see and I think he'll be a really good one when he comes out in a couple years."
