Five who could flip on signing day
It happens ever year and every year it gets harder to predict. More than a few big names will make a last-second switch to a new school on National Signing Day, leaving one school stunned and heartbroken, and another rejoicing by the fax machine.

And while there's a chance none of these five players could make a change, it seems likely that at least one of the names below will make the big flip.

Thomas took a visit to Oregon last weekend and that started a flurry of rumors regarding how solid his commitment to USC is. Thomas, who prefers to be called Black Mamba, has been a huge part of the USC class for a long time with his godbrother, Victor Blackwell, and friend Max Wittek. But he might want to get out of L.A. and he would be a great fit in the Ducks' offense with his speed. Washington has also apparently entered the picture as an option for Thomas and Blackwell. Thomas will announce on Wednesday whether he is sticking with USC or heading north.
Tuitt committed to Notre Dame in what many felt was a surprise move. Then a couple of weeks ago he abruptly de-committed and committed to Georgia Tech, the team everyone thought was the one to beat from the start. Then a day later he re-committed to the Irish and has since said he is solid and will be faxing his letter to South Bend on Wednesday. However, you can bet this will be the one letter the Notre Dame coaches sweat out. Tuitt has shown a great deal of interest in staying closer to home at Georgia Tech, but his mom has really been set on the Irish.
Calloway took everyone by surprise at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl when he told Rivals.com he was flipping from Alabama to Auburn, despite being one of the first commitments for the Tide in the class of 2011. Now Calloway is having second thoughts again and recently took a visit to Tuscaloosa before making his final announcement on Wednesday. Will he stick with Auburn? Will the pressure in Russellville and the feeling he got when he first committed win out in the end?
The California quarterback is committed to Arizona State but has taken official visits to Utah and Pittsburgh over the last couple of weekends. He will announce his final decision on Wednesday. Eubank is thought to be a lean toward sticking with his original commitment, but the early enrollment of fellow 2011 quarterback Michael Bercovici and a de-commitment at Utah led to Eubank opening things up a bit. Then coaching changes at Vanderbilt and Pitt led him to look east. He enjoyed the visit to Pitt, so there is some drama here. Both Pitt and Utah appear to offer less competition in this class but ASU has always been his top choice.
Whitehead remains committed to Mississippi State, but he is essentially the last of the big-name early commitments to head coach Dan Mullen who will flip, joining Nickolas Brassell and C.J. Johnson. However, will Whitehead join Johnson (and possibly Brassell) at Ole Miss or will he head to Auburn, where he is now very coveted with the de-commitment of Marcus Roberson on Tuesday. Whitehead appears to be a sure thing to flip, we just aren't sure where just yet. Auburn appears to have all the momentum here.
