Five trips planned for Thomas

Khaylan Thomas has one official visit to Arizona State locked in and four others should be worked out soon.
The three-star linebacker from Etiwanda, Calif., said he's definitely interested in the Sun Devils and is really looking forward to his trip to Tempe in mid-December to see if it's the best spot. He's working on scheduling all the others soon.

"I'm highly interested in them," Thomas said of Arizona State. "I like them a lot. They're in my top five and they're going to be one of my official visits for sure.
"I just like their style of play. They attack, they're fast, they're a hurry-up defense instead of a hurry-up offense. The coaches there are pretty cool, too, and they keep in touch a lot so I like that."
Arizona State is the first visit scheduled for Thomas, a 6-foot, 217-pound three-star inside linebacker, and many others are being figured out.
The Etiwanda standout said he's definitely planning a trip to Oregon State for its rivalry matchup against Oregon and three others are looking good as well.
"That's another official visit I'll be taking (Oregon State) and then I'm working on a Miami one, an Oregon one and a visit to Arizona," Thomas said.
"As of right now, they're pretty locked in."
A decision is expected after all his trips. Thomas, rated as the No. 18 inside linebacker in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, said he's not going to rush anything and wants to see all five campuses before making his commitment.
"Right after my officials I'm going to sit down and go over some other stuff and then I should be ready to make my decision," Thomas said.
So far, Thomas has been offered by Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Colorado State, Fresno State, Miami, Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, Utah and Washington State.
