One of the nation’s best players may follow his good friend and his brother out west. This player would have to travel all the way from the west coast of Florida to the west coast of California if he decides to make such a trek. His brother and his friend are doing just fine in Southern California.
The player in question is Andre Caldwell (6-2, 180, 4.39) from Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson is scheduled to take a visit to UCC on January 10th. We know there are skeptics out there that feel the five star and Rivals’ number one rated wide receiver will never leave Florida to come all the way to California, but this guy has friends and relatives on the Left Coast.
Caldwell played out of position this season as a quarterback, but still he had the talent and the athleticism to lead his team to the Florida State 4A championship game. He finished his senior season rushing and passing for over 1,100 yards each to go along with 31 touchdowns.

There is a pull for Caldwell to come out west and play for USC. Super frosh wide receiver Mike Williams is a good friend of Caldwell’s and his brother Reche Caldwell is a rookie for the San Diego Chargers.
Caldwell’s brother played for Florida and the Gators definitely have a shot for his services, but most of the coaches he knew are no longer with the Gators.
Caldwell has visits set up with USC on January 10th. Miami January 17th, LSU January 24th and Florida State January 31st.
The Gators are the odds on favorite to get the last visit.
Caldwell has been selected to play in the US Army All-American Bowl to be held in San Antonio, Texas on January 5th.
