Five-star WR stays home

After flirting with schools from all over the country, five-star wide receiver
Tyron Johnson couldn't pass up the chance to stay close to home and

star for LSU. The No. 14 overall player in the country made his
announcement at the Under Armour All-America Game, spurning Texas Tech
and Oklahoma State in favor of the Tigers.
"It's in my backyard
and it's a powerhouse," Johnson said earlier this week of the Tigers. "Coach
Martin has recruited me hard and come to my school every time he's gotten a
chance and I've developed a good relationship with him."
The commitment of the five-star New Orleans (La.)
Warren Easton prospect marks the second straight year that LSU has nabbed an
in-state five-star wide out after signing Malachi Dupre in the class of
2014.
Despite the commitment Johnson still intends to take visits, with
an official visit to Auburn set for Jan. 16.
