Five-star WR changes up his visit plans

One of the top names at the Shrine Bowl this past weekend was five-star wide receiver Dwight Jones. The Burlington (N.C.) Cummings star had a big day hauling in three receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown.
"It was a really fun experience to participate in the Shrine Bowl," he said. "They had the best of the best competition there and I thought I did alright. I wasn't trying to make any statements, but I caught the 66-yard pass and took it all the way. I believe I showed everybody I'm a big target with some speed. Aside from that, I had a really great time hanging out with the other players like Chris Culliver."

In relation to recruiting, Jones has flipped his visits around a bit.
"I've got North Carolina on January 5th, Tennessee on the 12th, Clemson on the 19th and Florida on the 26th," he said. "Tennessee is new to the list and nobody really realizes that they've been recruiting me since my junior year. I've always liked them and I want to check it out. Since I've been committed to North Carolina so long, I haven't had the opportunity to look around, but now that Bunting is gone everything has opened up."
Despite looking around, the No. 1 player in the Tar Heel state is still firm with North Carolina.
"I'm 100% with Carolina until I take my officials and see how everything goes," he said. "I like North Carolina a lot because they showed me the most interest. I also have gotten to know my recruiter Marvin Sanders really well. If he's not there, there's a good chance I'd go elsewhere. I also like how they are close to home and I know some players that go there already. I do like Butch Davis too. I think he's a good hire.
"At this time though, I don't know if it'll be difficult for other teams to sway me or not on my visits. I'm just going to take them in and see how I like all the visits. I really want the coaches to tell me the truth and then I want to check out the campus, atmosphere and fans a bit. I'm just hoping to have a nice time."
As a senior, Jones registered 1,396 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns.
