Five-star visits L.A. schools

Five-star wide receiver Arrelious Benn (6-2, 210, 4.45) from Washington (D.C.) Dunbar took unofficial visits to USC and UCLA recently and both schools impressed him.
"Arrelious really enjoyed his visit to Los Angeles and enjoyed both schools," Dunbar coach Craig Jeffries said. "He was very pleased with what he saw.

"Arrelious liked UCLA's facilities and their campus, but he was able to sit down with USC coaches and they were able to tell him how he would fit into their offense. He came away impressed with USC and how they could use him.
"Arrelious wants to know how he will fit in the offense and how he will be used.
"When it comes to choosing a school, Arrelious will pick a school that is best for him. He is also working hard to graduate in December so he can participate in spring ball.
"I thought the distance to Los Angeles would have an effect on him," Jeffries said. "The distance to Los Angeles didn't seem to bother him at all.
Benn showed up at UCLA when their camp was in session so the coaches weren't able to talk a lot of specific football stuff with him because he had to get to the airport while the camp was still in session.
Another of interest for the two western schools, Benn liked both the UCLA and USC coaching staff's.
The young man plays his recruitment pretty close to the vest, but he is very savvy with the process. According to some sources he should be making him mind up no later than October.
As a junior, he was all-league, all-metro and all-area after catching 49 passes for 1,149 yards and 17 touchdowns.
What does Benn want in a school?
"I'm looking at playing time and the stability of the head coach," Benn said. "I'm looking at the situation at my position and the quality of the quarterbacks. I'm also looking for somewhere that I'm going to feel comfortable."
