"After the game I went and hung out with my host. The next day was more of a free day. We talked to the academic advisors and then after that my mom and I walked around campus. We went on a tour and then after that we went to (Jim) Harbaugh's house."
The Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West linebacker has been to Michigan before but this was the first time on game day. He loved the atmosphere and said it was one of the best parts of the trip.
"That was the most people I think I've ever seen," Kelly said. "It was crazy with all those fans.
"They did the wave and they did it five different ways, slow, super-fast, I thought it was crazy, so many people. It was cool. The fans were really loud and really loyal. It was a cool atmosphere to be in."
Spending time with the coaches was an important part of the trip. Kelly broke down his highlight film with Harbaugh and he especially likes assistant coach D.J. Durkin so that could be helpful for the Wolverines.
"I would say I could play for him," Kelly said of Harbaugh. "He likes to laugh a lot and he loves watching football. He watched my highlights and he had a clicker and he would fast forward and rewind. He was having fun with it.
"(Durkin) is a really good coach. When he speaks you could tell that's his life. He gives off so much emotion. When he was telling me and my mom where I would play as an outside 'backer, an inside 'backer, maybe even a little d-end in some situations, all around, he was excited.
"The last time I went I was in a team meeting and he was shaking the podium. He's just an intense coach and he loves the game."
As for a leader, Kelly said he's going to take the rest of his trips and then revisit which schools stand out He still plans to visit Oregon, Oklahoma and Notre Dame but the Texas trip looks off.
Instead, Kelly said he's considering his fifth trip to Alabama, TCU, LSU or USC.
