Five-star safety impressed with first trip

The nation’s No. 2 safety took his No. 1 visit this past weekend, so did Mississippi State move up anywhere on Quinton Culberson’s list, to like No. 1?

“Well, State was rocking,” Culberson, who is 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, said. “The players and coaches all seem to get a long great, and the campus was alive with a lot of people doing a lot of stuff.”
What about on the field stuff? Did he fit in all right there with the Dogs?
“I think I do,” Culberson of Jackson (Miss.) Provine said. “They brought something up that I’ve not really thought about before, but they said they could also see me out there at cornerback on an island against the best receiver. I guess with my physical size and speed, they think that’d be a good fit.”
But Culberson isn’t ready to say who is the right fit for him in the recruiting process.
Culberson is lined up to visit several schools in January – Auburn on January 10, Ole Miss on January 17, LSU on January 24 and probably either Southern Miss or Tennessee on January 31.
